Communication in relationships is key. Oftentimes, partners have trouble understanding each other, not only verbally, but also in their actions. Individual therapy can provide you with a solid non-judgmental place to discuss your relationship issues, and help you discover new ways to get through to your partner. If you are having issues that are causing you to consider separating, therapy is a great place to start.
If you are in couples counseling, or thinking about couples counseling, it is also recommended that you are both in separate individual counseling in conjunction with your couple’s work.
